I’m calling it, Jeff is going to be an Emmy Award winner at an NFL team sometime in the next decade. Jeff is so freakin’ good at what he does that it’s intimidating. No matter what sport or style of photography he does, it is breathtaking. I would compare his work to Dan Szpakowski or Tyler Richardson. Jeff mainly worked for Cylones.TV and Cyclone Athletics.

I was able to cover our 2021 football teams Pro Day and oh boy was it something. We, the media, were restricted to one side of the indoor football facility, all whilst behind roped stanchions. With the area restrictions, many of the photos were very far away and kind of ‘look the same’. I totally understand why athletics does this; safety of the athletes comes above all else.

Inspired by the famous, “Humans of New York”, The Iowa State Daily is starting a series of stories highlighting strangers within the town of Ames, Iowa. I already love meeting people and getting to know their stories, but now I’m getting paid to do it? Freakin’ delightful. I love my job.

The Iowa State Daily’s basketball editors, reporters, and primary sports photographers are getting the opportunity to cover the Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship! Both I and my friend/fellow photographer, Collin Maguire, will be covering the tournament.

I got a last-minute opportunity to be a second photographer on Katherine and Isaac’s wedding day. I worked alongside the photographer, Meredith Glass, and the videographer, Eli Borgestad. We shot on a cold and windy day in early January, but based on the photos, you couldn’t even tell that everyone was on the border of getting frostbite.

How to describe Tanner? He’s a senior at Waukee Northwest High School, the starting running back on the football team, a wrestler, an avid hunter, a horseman, a farmer, but more importantly; One of the most respectful and genuine young men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

I met Katie in my junior year of high school. Ever since I locked eyes with her at show choir rehearsal, I knew she was the one. It may sound dramatic, but I knew. My brain’s inner monologue confidently repeated, “Yep, she’s the one. This is the girl”.

Every shoot I’ve done with Hannah has ended up being one of my favorites. Hannahs confidence and general ‘down-to-earth’ energy always produce amazing images. Hannah and I seem to always have a yearly photoshoot sometime late in the summer. Honestly, I hope we can keep our photoshoot streak alive for as long as possible.
